Archers Basketball, one of Wales’ most prominent basketball clubs, marked a significant milestone as they commemorated their 25th anniversary with a memorable event.

The festivities at Cyncoed Campus and the Cardiff North Mercure brought together a diverse community of current students, junior players, dedicated staff, and alumni.

The anniversary event got underway with a lively family session for all ages,  followed by the much-anticipated Alumni versus Student games. They were given some intense competition, but the student teams emerged victorious.





An evening event then celebrated the rich history and legacy of Archers Basketball. Attendees were treated to a nostalgic journey through the club's history, complete with memorabilia and souvenirs. Throughout the evening, the speeches and anecdotes shared underscored the impact of the club on its members and the broader community.

Thanks were also given to those individuals whose dedication and passion have been instrumental in shaping the club's success. There was special recognition to Lucy Witt, the leading founder of the club, while Elen Morris-Mullins, Millie Davidge-Smith and Lucy were also thanked for their contribution to arranging the anniversary celebrations.

As Archers Basketball embarks on the next chapter of its history at Cardiff Metropolitan University, the club remains committed to nurturing talent, fostering inclusivity, and inspiring future generations of athletes.
